Just like other areas of life, follow-ups are very important in business. In a business situation, it can gain more clients! Who does not want more clients? (Rhetorical question, obviously.) As a business consultant, we can help you figure out the proper way to get the best e-mail or phone call template figured out.
It is important that an e-mail or phone call is not too pushy or uncomfortable. Think about if you would feel comfortable receiving the follow-up e-mail or phone call in the manner you plan to. It is also important to be empathetic in the follow-up approach(s) you decide to take. If you follow-up empathetically and even respond empathetically, you are likely to have a better outcome. One thing to keep in mind is what the customer might have going on when you try to get in touch with them. For example – is it in the middle of their work day? Is it in the middle of when they might be cooking dinner? Is it on a weekend? If you put yourself in their shoes, it will be beneficial for you in the long run.
Once you have the template figured out, it is important to have a follow-up on top of the follow-up. I know, that might sound crazy! But let us explain. If after two weeks you have not heard back from your initial follow-up, it might be a good idea to try getting in touch with them again…be empathetic and make sure everything is okay! With us on your side as a business consultant, we will help get you organized on both your follow-up and follow-up-to-follow-up approach. We will help figure out what the best method is for your workflow and employees.
We are confident that if you make follow-ups a priority, you will see an increase in clients and communication with clients as well!
